    Doug Olander has been Editor-In-Chief of Sport Fishing magazine for 15 years. The Seattle native has fished the globe, gleaning stories for North America’s top saltwater-fishing publication. Olander, who holds a master’s degree in fisheries science, is an avid angler for all game fish, large and small, salt and fresh.

    Bill Hirsch has been writing stories long enough to remember when they had an upstairs bar on 747s. Along the way, he has watched wild animals gallop across Africa, communed with baby seals in Maritime Canada, snorkeled with beluga whales in far north Canada, cruised the Bering Sea to the Russian Far East and around Baffin Island in the Canadian north, skied and scuba dived around the globe, gone dogsled camping in Alaska, traveled Inner Mongolia, lived with Eskimos in igloos and found peace in Buddhist monastaries in Thailand and Korea.
